Any goals for your first year of marriage? Things you'd like to do?
We are saving money for a house and would like to take a trip to DC. Nothing exciting right now but its something

Ok, oops. I posted under old knot name. And I can't delete, so here we go....
I'll bite.
My husband and I are trying to switch school districts this year. We're both teachers in very small rural districts. We would like to move to the metro area and work for larger districts (preferrably where I went to school).
This move also means new living situation for us. We're hoping to be able to buy a house, but we'll see.
Soon after our 1st anniversary we're hoping to start TTC.
Move to the mainland (we're in Hawaii).
Buy a house.
I think the babies might be a goal for next year
Hi ladies!
This year, we'd like to get a lot of work done on our house. We've lived here for two years already and haven't gotten nearly as much done as we wanted. We need to finish remodeling the bathroom, put new flooring and maybe new cabinets in the kitchen, and new carpets in the bedroom. We got new appliances last month which was a huge step in the right direction. We are also going to TTC, again.Wow I just found this board.
DH and I want to pay off a couple car loans this year and do some home improvements. We've had our house for about a year and a half. We need to redo the bathroom, and put new countertops and flooring in the kitchen. Then we start on the basement
! Babies are not in our plans for the next few years. Hope everyone's first months being married have went well so far!!!
We made new jobs our first goal... and I got an offer Friday afternoon! I'm going to take it! DH is still looking. Next goal will be a new house - our condo is getting a little tight. I'm going to give the new job a full year before we TTC.
Of course, I still need to finish changing my name on everything... what a pain in the a$$$!
We're saving for a house but we know that's still about 2 years away for us. So we're just enjoying getting settled and spending our evenings together and going out and having fun. Nothing terribly exciting, just really enjoying married life.
I found out about a month before the wedding that I'm losing my job in September, so I'm job hunting right now. Kinda sucks because I make more $$ in the relationship so I feel a little stressed. But I have til September then 5 months of severance, so I've got some time before I really start freaking out. So finding a new job is on my list of goals too.
