Any Yankee Candle experts out there?
I'm looking at getting a car gel for my car... I know picking scents is by personal taste, but help me out. Have you smelled any of these scents and do you (not) recommend them?
Re: Yankee Candle
Personally, I LOVE the Coconut Bay one, it's always in my car. It reminds me of summer and makes me happy.
A lot of their "beach" and "ocean" ones smell like sunscreen though, so I avoid them. I also avoid anything overly sweet and fruity. I actually used to work at Yankee candle in college, so I thought I'd better be able to rec something, but apparently they've changed all their scents.
And Midsummer night's Dream smells like men's cologne, IMO. Which could be good or bad...
Personally, I would love to have my car smell like sexy man cologne... But not cheesey rip off wannabe man cologne. I might have to give that the smell test!
I've had the Clean Cotton in my car before, and I like it because it's not an overpowering scent like some others. The fruity and sweet ones sometimes make me a little sick after smelling them too many times, and ones like Autumn Wreath I love in a candle, but I wouldn't want in my car.
The Clean Cotton just has a very fresh scent, like you just ran your car through the washing machine!
cupcake and buttercreme! they sound yummy! I think I'll have to go out on a search tonight. I hope the one store that carries this brand has atleast one of these scents.
I've always wanted something smelly in my car but never can find the right one. I always end up buying the new car scent.
I actually LOVE buttercreme.. but I don't think it comes in the car smell, does it?
Ditto this - smells like boy but I like it.
MY BLOG!
Actually, Midsummer's Night Dream smells almost exactly like the men's cologne Drakkar Noir, if you're familiar with it. It's the cologne my stepdad wears, so my mom ALWAYS has that one in her car. I vote for Clean Cotton- fresh smelling and almost sure not to offend anyone riding in your car.
