     10. i wonder how close she is...

  • 1) I have an "inspirational" calendar at work and this month's quote is "Happiness is where we find it, but rarely where we seek it".  I like that.

    2) Would it be inappropriate if I gave my mom a carseat for her birthday? Wink

    3) The first thing Sprout said to me this morning was "I'm so mad at myself".  i feel so sad for that little guy :(

    4) I'm excited for spring but not for DST...i dont have an hour to give up

    5) I'm getting back to WW, for real this time, today.

    6) The person in the office next to me is on the phone w/ his wife discussing their upcoming tropical vacation.  i'm sending eye daggers through the wall.

    7) DW and I are still debating if we should get the h1n1 vaccine.  Supposedly they are predicting a resurgence in the spring.  ugh...i feel like its such a no-win decision.

    8) apparently i'm really boring b/c i'm having trouble thinking of anything else!

  • 1. I haven't been doing much work.

    2. I am also behind on my qualifying exam.

    3. I am 5 days late and wish POAS could be fruitful Stick out tongue

    4. We're going back to the RE for CD17 and I'm nervous.

    5. I half am ready to just get my preggo and its only month 2.

    6. I'm really worried this will be a long process to knock C up.

    7. I am afraid I won't be able to handle it if our kid isn't smart.

    8. I need a new coat.

    9. I've been running so late in the mornings I've been parking illegially in pay spots at the train station.

    10. I think I have carpel tunnel.

  • 1. Thankfully my wife's actual b-day (yesterday) turned out better than the b-day weekend.

    2.  My van started doing weird things last night so I had to take it in this morning. Not fun when you have to take out car seats/install car seats in a rental.

    3.  The teeny Kia somethingerether rental has satellite radio but no automatic locks/windows.  Clearly this car isn't designed for parents.

    4.  I woke up at 5:30 this morning wide awake. I couldn't fall back aslep so I just got up and got ready. When the boys woke at 6, I was done. It made the morning go much more smoothly - but I am not willing to get up at 5:30 every morning.

    5.  I need to get my crap in gear and do our taxes. I know that we're getting a refund - and I would like it, please.

    6.  If you sign up for the Benihana birthday list, you get a $30 gift certificate - great deal. And great kid place too. :)

    7. We went to Pei-Wei for dinner last night and I forgot my leftovers at home. They would have made a great lunch. Darn.

    8.  I go to the eye doctor Thursday to get new contacts and glasses. YAY!  My eyes have really hurt lately, but I can't take out my contacts and wear my glasses to do much of anything since the script in my glasses is so old.

    9.  I saw that they are doing school pictures next week. I hope they are better than the fall ones.  Gray looks like this Indifferent in his.

    10.  My supervisor offered me another job yesterday to be a supervisor at an off site location. But it requires 8a-8p 3 days a week with rotating weekends/holidays. The 3 day work week sounds lovely - the rest doesn't. No thanks.

  • 1. My wife suddenly has a raging desire to have a baby (me pregnant, not her).

    2. She was online looking at sperm prices while I was asleep.

    3. I'm wondering why all of a sudden it's become such a huge thing for her.

    4. Sprouts are peeking up out of our gardens.

    5. We bought 3 chicks (hens) yesterday so we can supply our own eggs.

    6. Their names are Dolly (Parton), Gretchen, and Henrietta.

    7. I wanted to run today but I didn't sleep well last night, think I'm going to stay in and watch Biggest Loser instead.

    8. My daughter brought her report card home yesterday, all A's. Party!!!

    10. I want an orange from our orange tree.

    1. I am doing ttt today and that is an accomplishment these days.
    2. We stopped feeding E in the night the last few nights and last night we had her cry it out when she woke up at 3 and 5 am.  She only cried for about 5 min each time.
    3. I hope that this was not a fluke and that we can sleep train her pretty easily.
    4. E was laughing so hard last night it was so funny!
    5. I made my first batch of baby food last night.  Pears and sweet potatoes.  She loved her fresh sweet potatoes yesterday.
    6. S's birthday dinner was so yummy on Sat I was so happy we made it through the whole meal without a call from our friends who were watching Ella!
    7. I am so sleep deprived I am actually considering getting a room at a hotel in town some weekend soon and have S sleep there one night and me sleep there the other so that we can get some rest.
    8. There is a Westin just up the road and  I am day dreaming about the bed
    9. S heard from on of her grad schools (she got in!) but is waiting to hear from BC I totally want her to get in since it is about 15 min from our house and would be so creative it is also the highest ranked of the three schools she applied to.  The wait is killing us.
    10. I just want to get a plan for next year.  Not knowing anything about how next year is stressing us out.
    11. The daycare we had Ella signed up for is full next year and we are having trouble finding a spot for her.
    12. We are looking at two places on Friday and I really hope one works out,
    13. One is the Montessori School which has a young toddler program.  I really want to send Ella there.  S is not really sold on it.  We really can't afford it but I am hoping that they would be able to give us financial aid.  There is no way we could pay the 20 grand that is costs.  The other is a home daycare which I hope we like.  I wish this was not so stressful!
    14. *** I just realized my ttt is a ftt since I am on #14...I think this makes up for the weeks I missed.

    1. I am so tired, neither C nor I have slept well since Wednesday of last week. In fact, we did not sleep at all on Friday night.
    2. It literally brings tears to my eyes seeing C in so much pain...these little kids are HEAVY!
    3. C's blood pressure was good at yesterday's appointment, it is MUCH improved over Friday's high readings. Also, the doppler picked up good heart rhythms on the kids.
    4. Today we have an ultrasound and an NST...I am so looking forward to seeing our little ones.
    5. C is on complete bedrest, she can only get up for doctor's appointments, potty, and a shower.
    6. I have so much to try to pull together by this weekend...next week is the BIG week!
    7. Poor C has to trust me to buy the right camera...that is so her department.
    8. We are half tempted to have me buy a van this weekend, but the joy of finding one together would be lacking.
    9. C is calling me from the other room...she is having contractions.
    10. Until later!

  • 1. I did this post earlier, and the nest ate it.

    2. There's a birthday in the department next to mine today - that means cake!

    3. I really need to get serious about packing.  We're planning to spend the weekend at the house, doing things there, so I need to focus on packing and try to get least one thing accomplished each night this week.  I don't want to be stuck doing a lot at the last minute.

    4. This week is my last 5 day work week!  For the next 6 weeks, I'll only be in 4 days each.

    5. I'm excited to see how much we can accomplish at the house this weekend.

    6. It's looking like we may have all four of my parents (mom and stepdad, and dad and stepmom) in the house at the same time on Sunday....should be very interesting.

    7. There seems to be a nasty cold going around my office Indifferent - I SO don't need that right now!!

    8. I can't believe that as of next week, I'll be 8 months pregnant!

    9. The sun is out today! After all the rain and clouds we've been having, it feels amazing!!

    10. This day needs to go by faster...

  • SSG - I can so relate to wanting to get a hotel room and sleep. Grayson didn't stop eating during the night until 11m and didn't sleep through the night until 3.5y. When L went out of town for work for a week when they boys were 7m, I was green with envy.

We love the Montessori philosphy. Our former nanny was a Mont. teacher and did a lot of stuff with the kids. It was interesting how both of my kids, who have SUCH different learning styles, gravitated to it.  We would love to do Mont school too - but $20k (times 2) isn't happening. I hope you get a good FA package!

Never2 - Next week - Eeeeeek!  How excitingI have this camera and love it. Super easy to use and gets great reviews.  From someone who shopped for a van with two 10 week old babies, get the van now if you can.  We ended up paying more and not really doing the car shopping process well b/c after being in the showroom for 3+ hours with the kids, we were rushed to get out.

Mrs F - I am so impressed with all you are doing being 8m pregnant!

We had the same exact thought this weekend!

  • 1. We too long for a night in a hotel, just one! Room service, long baths and quiet

    2. I feel drained after yesterday

    3. I haven't eaten or had anything to drink yet today. I am starving.

    4. LMC will never be potty-trained. We will have to send her to college with diapers, I am sure of it.

    5. I am getting excited for PBS's party and S's b-day this weekend.

    6. All the love, emails, calls and support we got yesterday made me realize how loved our girls are. They lifted our spirits and got us through a very tough day.

    7. I keep replaying what I said to LMC's father. I hope I helped him in some small way.

    8. Did I mention how tired I am?

    9. We need to start touring preschools for LMC. EEEK.

    10. 28 more days...ugh

  • 1. I went back to the nutritionist on Thursday and she/we decided that I should do a protein fast diet for March and see if it helps kickstart some weight loss, since just calorie reducing (1200-1500 a day most days) is not working. She said most people are not hungry on this diet, but apparently I'm not most people. I'm SO hungry. (It's ~ 200 calories of dairy + a special protein powder at breakfast and lunch, and a 500-600 calorie dinner.) I'm seeing my doctor at the same clinic on Friday and hoping we can figure something out, I don't know if I can do this for a month.

    2. Hungry.

    3. Hungry.

    4. I feel terrible when I don't especially feel like listening to Jen talk about her job. She works hard and the least I can do is let her share and decompress when she comes home.

    5. We aren't watching TV on weekday evenings from now until Easter, and last night was the first night. It was really peaceful. We listened to NPR while making dinner, then read afterward. And I listened to the Savage Love podcast while doing my leg exercises.

    6. My toenails are currently blue, pink, green and purple. My fingernails are purple. I wore "professional" nail polish for the first couple of years here, but I really don't think anyone cares so I finally gave up the pale pinks!

    7. I got a great deal on a rental car yesterday through Priceline. I'm always surprised when my bid is accepted.

    8. I have been worrying about earthquakes.

    9. I got decaf this morning b/c I'm worried that only having 400 calories during the day will somehow amplify the effect of the caffeine, but I wonder if I'm thinking about alcohol and caffeine doesn't work the same way?

    10. So happy it is finally March. January and February can go screw.

She will.  She is only 2.5y.  My guys didn't PT until 3y4m and Carter STILL has regular accidents (many times a week at 3y9m.) She'll get there. But belive me - I know how frustrating PTing can be.  Hang in there. Smile

    1. I have a new favorite snack: red pepper strips dipped in hummus. I seriously can't get enough. It's freaky.
    2. ttc #4 (b2b iuis) should be this weekend.
    3. I'm feeling rather blase about it.
    4. We did not use injectables this cycle. The message the nurse relayed to me was intended for someone else.
    5. I have a job interview tomorrow. I wasn't looking and this offer just kinda came at me. Potentially an awesome move, but such horrendous timing.
    6. I'm so excited for twb and n2a. I hope that this next week finds them pain and stress free.
    7. Poor DW has a horrible cold that won't go away.
    8. Our property taxes are going up significantly, to the tune of $400 extra per month on our mortgage (taxes go into escrow). This makes me want to Crying
    9. I'm craving a weekend at the beach.
    10. Paradise

  • 1. Annie figured out how to get the block we had at the bottom of the stairs moved. Three times today she has tried climing the staircase. I didn't want to have to drill into the banister, but there is no other type of gate that will work.

    2. After two days off of work sick I am going back tonight. Not better yet... just need to go back to work or  I have to get a doctors note. I don't want to pay the bill for a doctors visit for waht is just a virus.

    3. Miss Annie Grace has decided her toys must be on the floor at all times. As soon as I put them back in their bins she crawls over and pulls them all back out again. I may never see my living room carpet again.

    4. As sick as I feel, I am craving spicy mexican food in the worst way.

    5. We are doing really well with our not eating out budget. The meal planning and grocery shopping for what we need is working.

    6. I was bad mommy yesterday when I was really sick. I let Annie Grace watch Sesame Street so I could go to the bathroom without her screaming. She sat on her bum totally mesmorized by the TV

    7. Annie has started dancing to music. it is so cute watching her swing her little bum back and forth to the beat.

    8. I think my cats are regretting Annie learing to crawl. They just can't escape her fast enough. I think they may eventually be bald.

    9. My dad had his check up at the cardiologist this week and they said his heart reated a 50 out of 55 on their grading scale. Looks like they caught it early enough that the damage to his heart muscle was very minimal. Very good news.

    10. Off to see that I can eat that will maybe not make me sick.

Have you checked out this site?

We have this. One side of the gate is drilled into the wall and the other side has the mounting bracket on it (not drilled.) We were okay with drilling into the walls since it can be easily repaired.

    yay, yay, yay!!

  • 2Brides- Thanks for the support. It's frustrating because she was almost 100% potty trained before the visiting debacle set her off. Starting all over is painful.  So sorry about the car, that is terrible news :-(

Cymru-Yay for your dad's heart. I am so glad they caught it in time :-)

Not the same - but Gray was almost 100% before our nanny left. When she left he regressed so badly, we had to go back to pull-ups for a few months until things settled down and he was back in a stable routine again. I was so frustrated. But then once he decided he was ready, he was and he never has accidents anymore (even over night.)  Think it is worth postponing re-training until everything settles down for her?

  •  "Think it is worth postponing re-training until everything settles down for her?"

Oh absolutely! We tried to quickly get her back on track but she would just stand there and pee or poop right in front of us, she was sending us a clear message. If she asks we take her and make a big deal about it. We will ask if she wants to try sometimes but we don't push it.  Thanks for telling me about Gray- I feel better that we aren't the only ones who have struggled with such huge setbacks.

  • 1. I'm eating organic apple crisp and the apples are strangely black and purple.

    2. I just bought three magenta shirts and now that I'm wearing one today, I'm afraid it looks more like hot pink. I may be accidentally dressing like an 80s reject.

    3. I'm about to head out to drinks with my new coworkers

    4. I'm really excited and nervous about going to get a marriage license tomorrow.

    7. I've run out of things...oh well!
