Weekend?

Is it here yet???  I am sooooo ready for some weekend and don't feel like working. This: Crying is how much I don't feel like working (okay, these new pictures are kind of fun).

So, who wants to share their weekend plans, therefore giving me something to read? Big Smile

Re: Weekend?

  • Oooo the weekend.

Well J and I don't have A/C, because Portland typically a cool 72-78 in the summer, but this weekend the temperature will jump to an awful 102 degrees. I will be spending the weekend by our beloved pool. :]

Tomorrow our new couch gets delivered, and I couldn't be more excited. (see couch below)

The weekend will also be spent, spending wedding money, on much needed apartment decorating. We have already gotten the new dresser for the bedroom, new towels, new bathroom decor. I am getting very excited because our home will now look like a house, and no longer a college dorm room! Squee. I am worshiping our very generous friends and family who have funded my decorating budget. :-p.

The weekend will also be spent with much needed R&R. J and I never really caught up on sleep. It was wedding :: drive home (1700miles) ::work. Truly ridiculous. This weekend I also hope to book our fantastic Cabo tickets.

Phew, maybe I won't be getting much R&R.

  • We are going to take it easy! Our whirlwind summer of way too many things to do is finally over, and it feels great!

Tonight we are going to relax at home.  Tomorrow morning, C is playing golf with a friend and then in the afternoon we will run a couple errands (like our bi-weekly trip to Target) and are thinking of catching a matinee of Vicky Cristina Barcelona (we both love Woody Allen movies and are in love with Scalett Johansson and Penelope Cruz - so it seems like a win-win-win!).

Sunday will be hanging at home, and doing some aparment things like hanging curtains and pictures, etc.  Nice and low-key - we are both so excited to not have anything we have to do or anywhere we have to go!

  • My weekend already started - I played hookie today.  I actually wasn't feeling all that great so I decided to take a mental relaxation day.  In the 2 yrs I've been there I've only had 4 sick days so I don't feel so bad.

Today:  spent time doing more donor searches, cleaned the house, baked cookies, will go to work later.

Tomorrow:  celebrating K's bday by going here (www.adirondackextreme.com).  Some friends are going with us and we're all really looking forward to it.

Sunday:  Nothing planned, probably run the usual errands.  I bought a new vanity for my bathroom so I may install it....maybe...

  • i'm sure you're done with work by now, but i'll answer anyway.

i'm performing tonight and probably going out after. we're planning on going early to see the show before mine, but seeing as how it's just after 7 now, we'd need to be there by 8, we haven't had dinner, and c still wants to shower...well, i'm not sure that's going to happen.

tomorrow i have no idea. probably working on the bathroom a bit, cleaning, and maybe homework. sunday we have a big party at the bar that sponsors c's dart and softball teams. it's for all the teams she sponsors, and we love the bar. should be lots of fun.
