I told Boss I would take a vacation this weekend. I would be gone Friday and Monday.
Well, somehow I got whittled out of Friday. Then Boss decided to take a vacation and now I've lost Monday as well, since someone needs to be here for a large proposal being done on Tuesday.
The plus side is that he'll be gone all next week. The downside is I already paid for this vacation and I'll only get to go for 2 days as opposed to 4. I'm very angry right now.

This. I don't put my foot down much at work, but if it's a vacation and money is involved, I'm going and I don't care how much they whine/complain/whatever.

Absolutely. Two this morning. I follow up with phone calls, the whole nine. I get a lot of "Thanks, but the position has been filled. We'll keep your resume on file"
Yea, file T, for trashcan.
But also since I get a whole 5 days of vacation time each year I was wavering about having only 3 days for wedding/after wedding anyway. This just means I'll be more spiteful during the week, and leave whenever I want.
