I'm gonna try it at 24hr on Saturday afternoon down in the boondocks (ha-ha) in SD. I've heard vastly different opinions from it being super fun and a good cardio workout to feeling like a lame jazzercise video and barely breaking a sweat. I've also heard it gets CRAZY packed. I'm hoping since it's a Saturday afternoon, it won't be TOO bad. Opinions?
Re: Zumba anyone?
The reason for the variety of opinions is b/c the success of the class totally depends on your instructor and the other students, IMO. I just took a class last week and HOLY CRAP - so fun and such a great workout. I was dripping 20 minutes in and burned like 600 calories for the hour. The instructor was super high energy and I just moved like a maniac for the entire hour.
I could see where if you have a lame-o instructor, it will def. feel like a bad jazzercise class. The moves aren't hard, but if you put a little somein' somein' to them, it's fun and you burn a ton of calories.
Go and see how it is. If the class is truly packed, that means that folks like it and you'll likely have a good time. Report back, 'kay?
