I need some 25th wedding anniversary party ideas. Anything and everything would be appreciated!!

I think it depends on the style, it is going to by more of an elegant/fancy affair or would it be a afternoon BBQ type event?

One cute idea I have seen before is compiling pictures of the couple's 25 years of marriage and setting it to music to play before or during the party.  This is always great when there are big life events like their wedding, children's births, big family vacations, etc.

Ditto pp about picking the style first.  However, since it's the silver anniversary, I would use that in the color scheme.

Decorate with pictures from the wedding and of the couple through the years.  Play up the silver anniversary theme - if you're doing place cards and favors, you can use small silver picture frames as the place cards/favors in one.

My siblings and I threw my parents a surprise party with about 50 family members and friends.  It was held at my uncle's house and we had it catered - just basic roast pork sandwiches, meatballs, ziti, apps and dessert.  We did a champagne toast and gave them a scrapbook that my sister and I made.  We did basic decorations, some silver balloons and some silly banner that my aunt bought.  Had some fresh flowers and all the paper products were silver/grey too.

FWIW, they talked about it for months afterwards...and it was a pretty casual event.

I also like the idea of framed photos and/or a slideshow.
