Online flower recs

Hi!

I need to send some flowers to a friend and was hoping someone could recommend an environmentally responsible online floral company.

Thanks!
Heather

Re: Online flower recs

  • Ohh...I don't really know how to tell if they are environmentally responsible, but I usually use a review site and search for a florist local to the person. Don't do FTD! I've heard (and seen) such terrible bouquets from that.

  • ditto alisha, don't use a wire service-- (FTD, Teleflora, 1800flowers.com)   you are just paying extra money to them to take your order, and transfer it to another shop anyway!

you're best off finding a real, local shop in their town, and ordering it from them.

oh and ProFlowers is also crap!

  • If possible, I'd say try to send a potted plant instead of cut flowers - then it's more sustainable and lasts longer.
