TJ's favorites?

I'm going to TJ's sometime this week to stock up on frozen goodies and such. What are your favorites there? I know I'm missing some hidden gems!

Re: TJ's favorites?

  • carne asada/pollo asado + other pre-marinated meats (refrigerated, but these freeze well)

    ginger soy carrots

    basalmic veggies

    roasted corn

pre-marinated frozen fish (pineapple teriyaki salmon, marinated ahi)

    lots of good cheeses :)

    naan/garlic naan

  • It's not frozen, but I'm newly addicted to their Organic Lowfat yogurt in Vanilla Bean. OMG! It's so freaking awesome!! Excellent by itself, but even better with a side of fresh berries. Mmmmm!

    Other frozen loves:

    • Pork gyoza
    • Orange chicken
    • Organic brown rice - just b/c it's so easy and fast
    • Frozen uncooked shrimp

  • Oh, it can be anything, frozen or otherwise :)
  • From the freezer aisle I usually get:

Frozen, uncooked shrimp (cleaned and deveined)
    Frozen scallops
    Frozen steelcut oatmeal
    Crustless quiche
    Gyoza
    Naan
    Mushroom flatbread
    Spanikopita
    Samosas
    Penne arrabiata

Other stuff that's usually in my cart: fresh herbs (TJs seems to last longer), precut butternut squash, assorted cheeses, the TJ brand organic greek yogurt, beef jerky, some of the marinated meats, bolognese sauce & sourdough bread.

  • Stuff I usually get:

    Orange chicken

Greek yogurt as dip or sour cream substitute

Smashed pea soup in a can, really good for lunches at work or even snacks

    Frozen scallops

Frozen seafood mix for cioppini (sp?)

    TJ blueberry oatmeal packets

    sourdough bread

    a few wines

    eggs

    gyoza/potstickers

  • Masala and/or Korma simmer sauce

    canned beans

    Jarred peppers

    Jarred artichoke hearts

    Pizza crust

    spinach in a bag

    romaine in the bag

  • Blueberry or Cranberry/Orange fiber cakes - they're like mini muffins that fill you up pretty well. Individual microwave brown rice bowls, roasted pepper spread (super good no sandwiches or as a dip,) turkey jerkey, Spicy Ranchero egg white salad, roasted garlic hummus, spanikopita. Tons of goodies.

  • Oh yeah, their pizza dough and sauce is one of my favorite "quick, I don't know what we're eating for dinner" dinners. Add shredded mozzarella, some veggies and dinner is on the table in 20 min. :)
  • oh, I like the Thai curry sauces as well. :)

  • I am so hungry now...thanks!
  • Lately, I've been hooked on their Turkey on Pretzel Bread Deli Sandwiches.

They are my crack. It's a bad scene.

I am right there with you! The touch of mustard mayo sauce and a couple of grapes on the side. So good!

    And frozen haricot verts.

I used to love their little escargot pastry things, but I haven't seen them in a long time :(

  • do you want to know what's really sad?  I had a dream last night they opened a TJs in lithania.
