The HI bump board?

Hey ladies,

I'm curious about the HI bump board... should we post over there?  I don't want to bombard this board with more BR stuff but I do have questions here and there   I remember what it was like before I was pregnant and it was pretty over the top sometimes for the ladies that aren't interested in all of that stuff...   Just throwing it out there out of curiosity.

I'd be down for that...we so much BOTB here right now I can see that it would be annoying for those who are SO not thinking about anything BR.  Of course that would involve checking yet ANOTHER board, but if you ladies are in, I am too!

Me too! I in no way want to leave this board, nooo   But I would feel better about all of the BR posts if I posted them on The Bump, maybe?  I just know that some people would rather talk about other things on here sometimes (I don't want to offend anybody, I just wanted to throw that question out there).

Just as long as you ladies don't ditch us non-bumpies!  I would be very sad if you all deserted this board   Although I'm not a fellow bumpie, it's nice to still know you all hang out here.

For sure don't leave us - but, you know, I'm not going to lie, I don't feel like I fit into this board very well because I don't have BOTB. I guess it's all about being at different stages in life. As stupid as this may sound, I've never bought a onsie (none of my friends have BOTB either) or had a dog so that gift exchange left me feeling totally inept and out of place. Perhaps it's impossible to include everyone all the time...

I do look forward to all the PIPs of all the cute stuff everyone gets!

I can't have kids but in no way do I feel uncomfortable about hearing all your BR posts.  I actually enjoy them.  I think a better solution would be that all us NBOTB members need to start posting more NBR posts   I enjoy all our ladies here and think diversity is cool, that's what makes us unique we share our interests and get to know each other better that way

Honestly, I've been sort of holding back from postingomg own baby related stuff because I remember what it was like before I got pregnant and how I felt kind of overwhelmed by all the pregnancy or baby related posts that were on the board. I'd feel more comfortable posting baby stuff on the Bump board but will definitely continue to post non-baby stuff here.

Well said Lindsay. As strange & sappy as this may sound, it really feels like we have become family here and even with new LO's joining us, it has gotten so much better! Sure sometimes it does get a little overwhelming with BR stuff, but that is part of life. We have all grown together over the last 4 or so years and certainly do not want loose touch with you ladies. We are all to here to support one another

This.  If a post is labelled BR and it's something I'm not into, I just don't read it.  Birth stories are a whole other thing though!  Gotta read those!

I agree that NBOTB's should post more MBR posts, too!

Totally agreed!  I can never miss a good birth story   And if it's labeled BR, I just don't open it if I'm not feeling that day.  Not a big deal.

Lisa, this is the exact reason I have posted this... I feel the same way as you described above.

i visit multiple boards and don't really mind the baby stuff...i just don't read it if it doesn't grab my attention.  i for some reason also enjoy reading the birth stories

the seattle nest board became deserted after everyone went to the bump so i'd worry that would happen here too

i think it's also the stage we are in that everyone seems to have just had a baby, is pregnant or ttc.  i'm not in any of those stages. sometimes it's a tad overwhelming but i'm sure our wedding planning was to non-knotties

if you guys do go over to the bump, don't abandon us

I'm up for posting on the HI bump board. It is true that a lot of what is posted here is BR, and I understand how that could be uncomfortable/annoying to those who aren't in the baby mode.

Oh wow, the Bump board is actually functioning as a real board now. Cuz last I checked, it was just full of posts to gain # of posts on the members' account. I thoughtthat it was just basically a non-functional board because with all those spam posts, it's nearly impossible to find the "real" BR posts, but now that it seems to have a clean slate for 2010, I think we should totally take it over!

I hope I did this quote thing right...anyway, I agree with this. I don't mind reading the BR stuff, I find it interesting even though I'm not at that point in my life right now. We definitely need to put up more diverse posts so that everyone feels comfortable and part of the group!
