s/o lawn care

Pesticides etc. are banned up here for use on your lawns. Is it like that in any of the area's that you live in?

Re: s/o lawn care

  • I don't think so.  I've definately seen roundup, snail bait, etc. for sale in my area.

  • No, and I'm very jealous that it is for you!

We get so much rain that run off is a huge factor, not just for our already polluted and challenged waterways, but for my own yard. I am glad to live on a hill. I don't want my animals (or my own) risk of cancer increased because you douse your yard with chemicals!

  • Last summer was the first year of the ban and people were given lots of notice. Some drove to the US to buy pesticides (they aren't sold here anymore) and smuggled them across the border.
  • wow, I wish more places would do that.
  • No, they're not banned. But, I do see a lot of people with signs in their yards in my area (for the ban). I love my hippie neighborhood!!
