Some nesties on other boards are just rude!

I ventured over to the Married Life and the Relationships boards to see what they were posting about and saw that there are a few bullies over there who are just plain rude and unsupportive to other women who genuinely are asking for advice and help! It is so irritating when grown women have to be catty like that (they do not say their names and do not post pictures so they are totally anonymous...chicken!). Although I am new to this board, it really makes me appreciate how nice and supportive everyone is on here

Thats why I left the bump and the nest. They were just plain mean. What's the point of fighting over the internet? I don't understand; no lives I suppose.

Just a word of warning, a lot of ladies on the forums will post on many different boards so be careful of what you post about other boards. I have seen a lot of people get chewed out on posting about other people's comments or snarkiness.  Since you said you are new at the boards I wanted to make sure you didn't learn the hard way

Thanks for the heads-up I just want to say that not everyone that posts on those boards is like that, but there are a few that definitely make a point of being negative.

Yeah, I don't venture to the national boards very often.  I personally don't like the "feel" of most them.  I hardly have time to nest at all, and when I do, I'd MUCH rather connect with local ladies!

I was the recipient of some of their snarkiness once - and it was so bad I just stopped going on the Nest...  When I started posting again (months later) it was local only and its been great so far!  I avoid the national boards altogether.

I also avoid the national boards.......too many hands in the pot kind of thing.

I totally agree.  I just don't understand it.  Some ladies need to get a life or get some help.  It's amazing how people can be so terrible when they can hide behind a computer.  I also don't spend much time on The Nest national boards.  I do venture over to the bump but I don't post often.  Too many snarky pregnant ladies over there too.  I'm so glad you ladies are so nice and helpful

I wouldnt peg all the national boards as being rude though.

I spend a lot of my time on Whats Cooking and Decorating and Renovating. Those girls over there are always pretty delightful. I also Love love love my anniversary board, that board is how I wish this one would be. Its a lot more active and not always puppies and rainbows, I feel like the local board is a little to sugar coated at times, like I feel like if I give my honest opinions, that they might come off snarky because we are all trying to be nice and pleasant to each other. Which I am all for nice...but I dunno...sometimes it doesnt feel "real" over here. So that why I just pop on here and there.

Any way...you will see some boards do get a bit snarky and some are fun! I will say tred lightly on the Pets board, I have had some slightly un-fun experiences over there. I love my pets, but i'm not a member of Peta.

I totally understand what you mean, and I do agree.  But I also think there's a difference between being honest, and being rude just for the sake of being rude.
