Palm Treo moving to Palm Pre Plus...
I'm thinking about upgrading my Palm Treo to the new Palm Pre Plus. I love my Treo, specifically for the Palm Desktop application- I swear I've got all my memos, my to-do lists, etc.
However, I've heard that the new Pre doesn't have a desktop application- is that correct? Is this a huge downfall? I personally loved how the Palm Desktop application could contain all my to-do lists- how does the new Pre do this?

I had a VERY difficult time moving from my Treo to my Pre for that exact reason. My Treo was my brain for everything --- Outlook sync (between home and work), notes, tasks, contacts, documents, everything. Palm OS and Web OS are two very different animals. People that haven't been heavily dependent on the Palm OS probably don't have much of an adjustment period like I did. I'll be honest and tell you that the Pre still doesn't do it all for me like the Treo did, but they are making constant improvements and it's getting better for me.
Google Calendar works for exchanging information, but I don't like it. Finally, I reluctantly purchased PocketMirror by Chapura so I could sync everything easily. However, there are no current programs that sync your phone with more than one computer.
Other than that, the capability of the internet on the Pre rocks. Go into to your local store and play with the Pre for a while and ask every question you can think of. I went into my store so many times that they probably thought I was crazy. Also check out http://precentral.net. They have everything you want to know about the Pre from people who use it and develop for it.
