Teaching Websites?

I just got my first "real teaching" job assignment for next year! Yeah!!

I will be teaching Kindergarten in a  rigorous academic private school, so really its like teaching a 1st grade.

I wanted to subscribe to a teacher website that will help me with lesson planning, printables, activities...etc. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on which one is best? I have seen some of Teacher Vision and Edhelper and they seemed good.Someone told me lessonplanet is also good. Just wanted to get some feedback from others who might have some more experience!

Thanks!

Re: Teaching Websites?

  • Congrats on the teaching job.  I love teaching kinder and did so for many years. I teach 1st now. I use edhelper the most.  Not too much out there for kinder but the 1st grade stuff is pretty helpful.

I also use Scholastic printables.  It gives you access to pages from some of their most popular books.

  • Congrats!!! I use proteacher- you can ask questions and there's a ton of help from other teachers.
  • I always found that looking for ideas online took longer than using resources available to me at school.  Beg, borrow, and steal from your coworkers :)
