I just saw your reply to the Furbaby poll!  Did I know that you had a Bichon?  I think we've talked about this before, right?  Ok, do you have photos on FB?  Better yet, do you even have FB?  If so, I'd love to share photos.

That just about broke my heart when you said that at first your little man didn't respond well to affection.  Oh man!  These little guys are THE most affectionate little dogs I've ever encountered.

Does your little guy go on the "Bichon Blitz"?  Someone told me that's a common term for when they just take off running all over the home, like he's in a Nascar race?  Oh man, mine is crazy with it.

I never knew I could love a dog so much, honestly, and I think it has a lot to do with this breed.  He is so sweet and I just want to take him everywhere with me.  :)  My little man loves his sweaters too, along with the space heater we have.  He curls up in front of it.....

  • I think we may have chatted before on the Knot about our Bichons. I'm on FB, in the Hawaii Knotties group too (Janine Nirei). I've got an album of Wolfgang pics :)

I totally get the affection thing, which is why I kinda freaked out when we first got him home. I had a Bichon previously (Shorty), so I know how loving these pups are! It took him a while, but he warmed up. He's very very affectionate now! I love it!

And yes he does the "Bichon Blitz"! He gets so nuts he runs into the walls and doors because he is slipping and sliding on the tile! It happens just about every night. It's fun to watch.

I absolutely love this breed. Even though it was hard to say goodbye to Shorty, I knew I wanted another one eventually. Chris wanted a more "manly" breed, but he has fallen under the Bichon spell! They are just so happy all the time! I love it!!
