Amusing but maddening story
My brother works in IT. Last month he had to drive to another office, a full day's drive from his office, to set up a printer. All he had to do was take it out of the boxes, assemble, and plug it in. That's it. Apparently that required a two day round trip.
He just sent me a message that he has to go back to that office. His job this time? He has to watch someone else put together and plug in a printer.
Re: Amusing but maddening story
Is he getting paid for the drive time and mileage?
I just a friendly gal looking for options.
They're paying for a rental car and an overnight hotel. He's salaried, so I don't think he gets any other compensation.
His main annoyance is the wasting of two days when there are more pressing and technically demanding issues in his office.
