help with packing
Umm this sounds crazy. My DH just flew to Alaska last night. He is stationed at Eielson AFB. I am going up to visit for a week at the end of March.
It is about an hour from Fairbanks. So any hints on packing? Unfrotunately, in Cincinnati, the malls have bathing suits out already. So if I need anything I will need to use the internet. Just looking for a few helpful hints. Thanks.

Re: help with packing
Its still going to be chilly, so i'd pack long sleeved shirts, hoodies, maybe even some warm jackets. The weather can be a bit weird. Its been in the high 40's lately...which is strange. So yea pack warm, you could throw in some tee's and tanks...but i'd say for the most part you'll be in jeans and sweaters. Oh and pack some boots bc its around "break-up" time, so its pretty nasty out with the snow melting. Hope that helped you out a little.
Thanks that totally helps. He said it was beautiful yesterday but getting really cold today. So I am taking your advise and packing a little of everything. Things to layer would be best it sounds like.
Thanks for the tip on the break up time. I can't wait to see Alaska. I have always wanted to go there. It has been a dream. Wish it were summer instead of this time of year but with the Airforce, one can never tell!
