And Ben had his 1st trip to the ER today.

Ben had his first trip to the ER today- he fell off the changing table even though I was HOLDING HIM!! ?He pushed off with his legs and catapulted off. ?He has a little scrape and bruise on the bridge of his nose, but he is fine. ?He cried at first, I think because he was scared more than anything, but 5 minutes later he was laughing and his happy little self. ?We took him to the ER just to be safe and he is just fine. ?He's napping right now. ?I think he took 5 years off my life and I cried more than he did. ?My poor baby.image

I think he wanted to be like the cool kids, Alex & Lili.image

Re: And Ben had his 1st trip to the ER today.

  • Caroline has done that to me twice and Jakob NEVER did it, so it made me freak out too, so I can understand how scared you were. Luckily, we didn't have to make the trip to te ER because both times were while our pedi's office was open and so I called them in hysterics instead asking for what signs to look for and we determined over the ohone that she was OK.
I'm glad that Ben is fine too!
  • Thanks, Laura. ?It's nice to know that you care! ?I have to admit I was a little hurt that you are the only responder, considering how many people read the post, but I think it may have to do with The Stupid Nest issues (at least I hope so)

PS- St Joe's ER was wonderful!!! ?We didn't even have a chance to sit down before they called his name and we were in and out within 1/2 hour the most. ?They were SO good with him and I was very, very impressed- just like when I delivered. ?Great hospital!
  • I'm glad to hear that he (and you) are okay. It's scary when they hurt themselves! And sounds like you were in and out of the ER much faster than us, I am envious!
  • What is with these babes going to the ER?! I'm glad he is ok!
  • oh no, how scary, glad he's ok!

  • Welcome to the club Ben!  Isn't it the scariest thing Jeanette?  It sucks that they can't just tell you what hurts!
