RP: Mommy groups in East Orlando?
Does anyone go to any or know of any?
I googled and found MOPS at 9000 Lake Underhill Rd FL but I'm not sure what that is and what its all about. I live in Avalon Park so anything near there would be awesome.
Does anyone go to anything? I think I need, NEED, to get out more during the week while DH is at work so I don't lose my mind. :-)

Re: RP: Mommy groups in East Orlando?
Check Meetup.com...there are a ton of mom's groups on there. They have a lot of area specific and age specific groups on there.
I belong to a local multiples moms group and I honestly don't know what I would do without them!
I second Meetup.com. When I was a nanny I was a part of Little Smiles of East Orlando, which is pretty close to you!.
Also, do you go to a baby gym, or music class? Those are a great way to meet other mom's and get out of the house. The Library does some free baby classes I think!
I believe MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, so that may not be your scene!!
I might have found something on meetup that will work. I will test it out. I have not gone to anything yet with her! I feel like I should be, but she was still so little and the flu season still out there, I kind of wanted to stay away a bit. Now that she is starting to interact a slight bit more it will be easier to occupy her *I think*.
MOPS is a ministry that usually meets at churches but not for church members only. Thier focus is on the mom and no the baby. It is for all moms with young children. THey usually have programs for the kids as well. I haven't gone to a meeting but have friends that do. Their website is mops.org.
Depending on your child's age Winnie Palmer Maternal Health center has mommy and me classes.
