Anyone made it out to the fair yet?

We went Friday and walked around a bit. The entrance and parking fee has gone up. For the 2 of us to get in, it cost $22! It's getting ridiculous. But we went and saw Boys 2 men for free, which was awesome! LOL! They really put on a great show, especially considering it was free.

We want to go back and take my son, but it is so pricey (with eating and buying a couple beers a piece the other night, it costs us almost $80 for the whole night!) I am not sue if will make it back out. But I hadn't been in a couple of years, and the weather was beautiful, so it was a nice night.

Anyone else plan on going or been yet?

Re: Anyone made it out to the fair yet?

  • i'm skipping out on this year b/c i'm due in a month, but we try to make it out at least once a summer.  too bad the prices are going up :-(
  • my friend & i went yesterday to watch the dance/cheer competition (which was actually inside of six flags) but we had to pay the admission to the fair (which was $22, as you said) and i couldn't believe it was that expensive to begin with, with as horribly organized parking & such tends to be...

it was burning hot, overcrowded, there were little kids running around without water bottles in the burning sun & it was basically a nightmare... we left & didn't even walk around because it was just too much lol
