Texas State Human Hamsters
I just read the coolest thing. Texas State turned 30 of its elliptical machines in the student rec center into human-powered energy converters that feed into the campus power grid. A typical 30 minute workout makes enough clean, carbon-free energy to power a computer for an hour. They should do that at all gyms, at least to power the lights and stuff at the gym. Such a great idea.
