What to do with wedding dress

Hey ladies it's been 3 weeks since my wedding and I am planning on taking my dress to get preserved. However, now I'm considering doing a TTD. How many of you guys did a TTD? Was it worth it or would you have preffered to just preserve it and tuck it away in your closet. For those of you who preserved it, did you wish you had done a TTD?

Thanks for your opinions girls!

Re: What to do with wedding dress

  • I haven't done my TTD yet, despite 7 months later. I have to wait to come back to SoFl so my wedding photog can shoot it! I am going to be preserving my dress after my TTD.

  • We actually discussed this at the GTG on Saturday. While most of the girls expressed an interest in doing a tasteful TTD session, I couldn't picture doing that to my wedding dress. No way, Jose. It's still sitting in my closet, but I am planning on using some of the material for my child's baptism gown, even if it is just a tiny piece of material, and I wanted to save some of the material so, if I ever have a daughter, they can use some in their wedding somehow for their "something old."

  • I wish that I had taken more photos in a Day After/ semi TTD shoot before preserving it. I dont think I would want to do anything that would have hurt the gown, but I do wish we had done something before putting it in the box.

He's my fairytale, a dream when I'm not sleeping.

  • If I did a TTD it would be very "light"...meaning I would not do anything that would damge it to an extreme; I wouldnt get in the water with it or anything. I contacted Ashley Coulher from 1313blog.com and she had a few ideas so now I just need to talk DH into it!

  • i did two TTD's, one right after, and one for my friends photography portfolio. loved every single minute of both. My dress will be made into a christening outfit for our child when it arrives.
  • My DH is not into the TTD at all and I already have a lot of pics of me alone, so I decided not to do it.  So far, no regrets.  I would probably be into it though if DH was...

I need to preserve mine, it's been sitting in my closet for 7 months!

  • Well we are in a money saving thing so i didnt do the TTD, so the next day after the wedding my mom took the dress to be preserved and she used the money that we got from the wedding now its in a huge sealed box. so by the time i got back from the honeymoon it was back to her sweet home!
  • what's TTD?

i'm always out of it lol
