The basement of our building is invested with rats. They set new traps on Friday - 3 dead rats in our basement this Monday. We've had like 8 since the starts of the year . . . and that's just the dead ones. We think we've seen them a couple of times too and we've definitely found their droppings.
I told everyone I work with and supervise that if management tries to make them go into the basement, tell me and I will put my foot down for them. Not. cool.
Re: Absolutely disgusting
Sick...
I know they are "normal" in big cities - but the building maintenace people need to figure out how and where they are getting in - and fix that situation.
Good Luck!

We own the building so it's the cheap owner's problem. We are directly over the 6 train on the subway. I guess they've been putting a lot of poison down and it's been driving them up through pipes and holes into our building. ewewew.
