2brides - or anyone else - a friend is fostering twin newborns and asked if anyone had strategies/approaches for bottle feeding twins. Any links to such infor or text on what worked for you would be great for me to pass to her. Thanks!
Re: bottle feeding twins
how old are they? if under 6 weeks, I managed bottle feeding by having each baby in a boppy on the floor. I would sit in between them and feed with a bottle in each hand. Once they get a little older it gets much easier b/c you can prop the bottles using a folded up recieving blanket (or anything).

Most often, we used to sit on the floor between 2 bouncy seats with a kid in each bouncy and hold the bottles that way. If the babies are small enough you can hold one and kinda of wrap your arm around the babies head and hold the bottle while using the other hand to feed a baby in the bouncy or Boppy next to you. Sometimes we'd prop them on pillows on our knees.
Here is a pic (not us) of someone feeding twins in their bed - we never stood there - but the same principal applies if they are on the floor/bed and you are sitting.
They also have self feeder (Podee bottles) that a lot of moms of multiples swear by and bottle props - but we never used either so I can't reccomend them. I will say that bottles should NEVER be propped and left unattended.
It can be ackward at first - but soon it'll be no big deal. You can have them e-mail if they want some tips on multiples!
Done. Thanks!
