I called my bank to get pre-approved for a home and I did
or so I thought, the next day they call me back and they say my husband has to be added since my income is right at the neccesary and it's better to have more, anyways so I say fine add him, anyways then they call me back again and say
oh no, it shows that you declared bankruptcy and I said i knew this was going to happen, and explained that its my sister who had declared bankruptcy 2 years ago...they said well you need to take care of that and the change in the report doesnt take place until next month. So because of how retarted the system is, I have to wait a month to get pre-approved this is just extending more and more the process for me and DH to get a house...
Fun NEWS is that I went on annualcreditreport.com to see which bureau messed up and I already have my transunion, so I called equifax and was obviously waiting for 2 hours to find out that apparently its Experian who messed up...so they are the ones that obviously have no numbers that you can talk to someone so I had to request via mail and it taked 15 days to get!!!! i wish i could get it online but the website isnt letting me get it...i hate this sooooo much!!!!!!!
Re: very frustrating! (long)
Uggggggh that's so frustrating. I run background checks at work and there are sometimes mistakes like that and it's always frustrating for the prospective employee.
I'm glad it's a mistake though and you are getting it fixed. Good luck!
Dealing with banks is always incredibly frustrating. So sorry you are going through this ordeal. Hopefully everything will get resolved soon and start moving in the right track.
Good Luck!
thank guys...
unfortunately, it is not getting resolved... we want to put an offer on a house we really liked, we can put the offer and have the approval pending however since the removal of the bankruptcy does not take effect until next month, we will miss out on Obama's $8000.
I was talking to a co-worker of mine and she made me realize that I shouldve signed up with legal services when it was open enrollment...I would def. sue if I had a lawyer right now..
ughh this is draining me I'm so glad yesterday was my last class until after spring break...i am exhausted!!
