Hi all - if you're of the spiritual bent please add my cousin's little boy, Leo, to your prayer lists.
Leo is 9 months old and was taken to the ER because he was having single sided seizures. When the ER staff couldn't get them stopped, they airlifted him to Children's Hospital in Sioux Falls where he continued to have seizures despite using just about every type of medication in their arsenal to stop them. 10 hours later, they finally stopped after they gave him medication that they don't like to use on children but it was the only option left.
The poor kid has been intubated, has a Nasogastric tube to get food and fluids into him, and has been poked so many times for IVs that all his good veins have collapsed and they had to put in a central line (which they had to replace once when they discovered that the first one was put into an artery instead of a vein).
After a string of bad days, they could use a turn for the good... Please send up your prayers, your uplifting thoughts and positive energy. They deserve some good news today.
