XP-Florida
We just booked our trip to FL in two weeks from today!! We'll be staying in Lauderdale-by-the-sea. Has anyone been there before? Last year we were in Hollywood beach so this will be new for us. I'm just looking for any recs of things to do or places to eat while we're there. Thanks!

We did our honeymoon in Fort Lauderdale in November. We rented bikes to get around, which worked really well for us. For things to do I recommend the water taxi and the everglades park. For places to eat I recommend:
Coconuts- Nice dinner place on the water, not too expensive
Seasons 52 - It's actually a chain, but there's only a few of them in the country so far. It's delicous and not too expensive
Country Ham and Eggs - It's a great breakfast place, right in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

My aunt used to live in Deerfield Beach, which is about 20 minutes north. We used to go there every year.
In Ft. Lauderdale there's a huge swap market and circus that's fun to go to. I think the circus performs a couple of times per day. It's free too, which is awesome. I can't remember what it's called....Circus Swap? It's on a ton of billboards down there, so I'm sure you'll find it.
There's also the butterfly garden, which is fun, and I think once we took an everglades boat tour that was pretty close too.
