Wedding gown shopping in Portsmouth - recs?
Helping a friend shop for 'the' perfect wedding dress. We were thinking of spending the day in the Portsmouth area - anyone have any shop recommendations? If you are recommending a location do you know if its open on Sundays?

but i think madelines daughter is in portsmouth and they have everything there if i remember right....

Madeleine's Daughter is in Portsmouth on Rt 1 that is where i got my dress. they are not open on Sundays though
Absolutely head to Occasions...it is right around the corner from Madeline's and the people who run it are great. Ashley is nice and really helpful and if she ended up getting her gown there the seamstress is amazing. I am in the process of my fittings and have really enjoyed my experience there.They also carry some really nice and unique brands.
Madeline's is great for trying to get an idea of what you want though because they sort of hone in on what you are looking for and then bring you dresses.
