Fenway Park Tour

Hi there!  FL nestie here with a question.  We will be up visiting our in-laws in a month and I was thinking about surprising H by going to Fenway Park to do the tour.  Does anyone have experience with this?  Is it worth it?

I would have preferred to do Gillette Stadium since he is a huge Pats fan, but they don't currently offer any tours.  So Fenway it is!

Thanks!

Re: Fenway Park Tour

  • We did a Fenway tour a couple years ago and really enjoyed it!

  • They take you around to the different areas of the park so you can see from every angle. It's fun especially if you've never been to the stadium before.

  • I haven't done it yet (plan to this summer for DH's birthday) but having been to both Fenway and Gillette multiple times, trust me that you would much rather see Fenway!

  • You should definitely do it. I've done it twice now with two different sets of tourist family members and it's been a blast!

definitely! Gillette is like 7-8 years old and doesn't have really any history compared to almost 100-year-old Fenway.  Plus, it's your typical, new-age stadium full of concrete and steel.

  • We did that a couple of years ago and loved it! I'm sure someone has already said it, but you could go to Patriot Place, you would be right next to Gillette Stadium and you can have lunch at CBS Scene which overlooks it..
  • Thanks for all the great information!  I think the tour will be great as I know there is so much history there.  Looking forward to our weekend in Boston, well actually Wrentham, with a side trip to Boston!

Patriot's Place also has a Hall of Fame that's really cool.  It's very interactive.  DH & I went last year & had a really great time.  We recommend it to everyone.
