set to start seeds this weekend

do you use the seed starting kits or make your own?  this weekend i am starting tomatoes and lavender.  then two weeks later starting impatiens and portulacka (sp?) any tips?
sometimes all you really need in life is a pink wig.

Re: set to start seeds this weekend

  • You can start seeds in anything... I use toilet paper rolls for smaller things like herbs (when you replant, plant the whole roll, it will break down) or even things that don't like to be replanted and milk cartons for bigger things like tomatoes. I've also make paper pots from newspaper.

Starter kits can be expensive and unneccessary, just experiment and have fun with it.

  • I started with lavendar and it's doing really good already in just 2 short weeks.
