XP-Roc/Blo girls come in

I know I'm thinking way ahead but I'm trying to get ideas of where to get my cake for DD's 1st birthday in June. I was going to have a coworker do it, but she's really busy with other things in life right now and can't commit to doing it for me. Anyone know of a good bakery or someone who does it on the side? I don't want to spend a fortune on it. The party will be in Roc, but my Mom will be coming in from Blo (Kenmore area) so she could always pick it up there as well. Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks

  • savoia!!  omg such good cakes there.  you will die.  there are tons of options of good flavors and you can go taste test it.

or if you want to go budget, just have a cake made at weggies

  • Sweet Beginnings in Kenmore/Tonawanda is good.  They are located across from the Mount on Delaware Ave.

  • Etna Bakery just did L's baptism cake, it was a sheet cake double layered serves 60-70, and I think it was about 40 dollars or so.

Forgot to add....most importantly, it was AMAZING!

  • I had Wegmans do mine. I brought in a picture of what I wanted and they were able to create it. It wasn't anything over the top, but it also wasn't anything they had in their book.
  • It sounds like you already have plenty of excellent suggestions. I wanted to plug Quaker Bonnet Eatery in Buffalo. Their cakes are delicious and inexpensive (on par with Wegmans). They did a cupcake tower for our wedding, and a cake for our rehearsal dinner. It was excellent.
