Good morninging ladies.
How's everyone today?
This morning repairs will continue on our house. It's a slow and steady process, but we were able to get someone we know to do the work for us. I didn't realize how great that would be. It's so nice having someone familiar here working every day, since I am home with the baby while he is here. I think if it were a stranger I wouldn't want to leave my bedroom since I'm nursing and always wearing sweats. He has two under two and is just a nice guy in general. It's great because he really considers Chase's needs while he is working. Plus, having some experience himself he's offered me a little bit of advice.
So, what's new with you?
Re: Wednesday, that's it?
That's a really nice situation for you. Stinks you need the repairs at all, but you definitely made the best of it.
I attempted a shopping trip to King of Prussia last night since H is working up there a couple days a week, but I had no luck in the maternity jeans dept. I hate being short and that I am a jeans snob, but I am. I did manage to get some baby clothes and a top and have a nice dinner with H, though.
Then baby girl had a dance party when we got home and he got to feel her kick for the first time. Very, very cool.
Isn't that an amazing feeling- so cool to share with H!
Destination Maternity in Cherry Hill has maternity Sevens. Have you tried there? I didn't splurge, I got Pea in the Pod brand but I'm short and they fit okay.
i am having repairs done too! i am in sweats and havent showered yet. my realtors husband is coming to put a new know on the front door and to help me with the huge rug i just got from overstock!
after this i plan to do NOTHING. i am so physically exhausted from all the housework i have been doing. this pg is really starting to kick my butt!
I tried on the petite Sevens last night and I like the way they fit, but I was looking for a lighter wash. I have a dressy pair of jeans that I really like, but I'm trying to avoid hemming them for flats yet.
I think I'm going the ebay route tonight to see what I can find.
Summer - glad your repairs are getting done and it's someone you know.
Kat - sorry I'm no help on the jean front. I just wore Gap Maternity jeans or Motherhood. I didn't want to spend too much, so I bought on sale.
Aw - I loved when H felt the baby kick for the first time. It's such a cool feeling. I would just keep my hands on my belly and feel him move. I kind of miss that.
I just spent $60 at Gymboree.com. I got Jack a rash guard, bucket hat, socks, and a one piece short outfit. I love that store.
So exciting, Kapow!
This week is definitely creeping. I can't wait to get outta here!
Glad the repairs are going well, Summer!
I've been pretty swamped at work lately. I'm multi-tasking during lunch right now.
I think that I'm going to be done school a semester sooner than I thought. I'm going to try to take 2 online classes during the summer (each 7 weeks) and at the same time start to write my master's thesis. It's going to be difficult and extremely time consuming, but I could ideally be done by the end of September. On top of that, if I hurry I might be able to go to Italy for a conference and present my thesis in November. That would be such a nice treat to myself.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Summer: good luck with the repairs...I hope it goes fast
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this week is dragging!!!! I so want to take a sick day tomorrow but I keep thinking I should save it for when the weather is nicer and the fact that it's suppose to rain for the next few days really makes me want to stay home and sleep.
That's awesome news, Izzy! Good luck with the classes and the thesis. I hope you get to go to Italy. That would be amazing.
I love how motivated you are! Good luck.
