So all over the place I read that you should divide plants in the spring...but WHEN in the spring? You know how some seeds tell you they can be planted 3 weeks before the frost date, or 2 weeks after the frost date...is there are more exact rule like this for division? Or even a vague before or after frost date rule? I'm a gardening dummy, and I want to give my freebie plants the best chance of me not killing them.
TIA!
