  • WOW! You need sunglasses to even look at that pic! Jeez...
  • I am SURPRISED their realtor didn't make them paint it! wow... no way in hell will someone want to look at that after seeing that pic!

Even a beige/cream color would help!

I feel like getting on a bus to Georgia and doing it myself! That's just WRONG!!!

I don't think that their realtor is as bright as their walls.  "Pleanty of closet space"
  • We just looked at a house with this exact color(lime green) living room. It also had an orange BR, and the MBR was purple with purple carpet...LOL!!! It was a beautiful house but very colorful!
  • We looked at one like this.  Electric blue kitchen, mustard family room, magenta bedroom, green bathroom.

Some people are paint psycho.  My Ex included.  He painted his bedroom in the house that we lived with purple swirls.  PURPLE SWIRLS!  When we decided to sell the house, everyone repainted their rooms.  The red room became beige.  The yellow room became white.  My bedroom was already a pale tea green so I just gave it another coat.  But Mr. Purple Swirls refused to repaint.  There was a huge fight about it, but he wouldn't relent.

Luckly we sold the place to a rock star type who loved all the crazy paint.

  • Are houses really that cheap?  100k for that house is AMAZING!

I'll repaint if I can have it for 100k.  WOW!

  • Gah! It looks like the break room at nickelodeon!

My friend rented a house that had a black & white checkered bedroom, a purple & green bedroom, a (bad) mural on the wall in the stairway and each step was alternating rainbow colors! The owner let his teenage daughter decorate...

Oh and FIL's old house had an electric blue basement which they sponge painted metallic gold Ick!

No, not to my knowledge.  I am guessing that there is more to this story and just bad choice of colors. lol
  • that house is sooooo pretty yet SO NEON!!!!!!!!!!!

man, I wonder what those people were thinking!

  • I have to admit, I love color, but even my strong colors aren't that bad.  OK, the hot pink in the babys room is pretty bad, but at least its the baby's room now... Embarrassed
  • I love colors in houses.  But I draw the line at electric blue and lime green in the kitchen.

I will dime myself out.  my laundry room is Tenn. Vols Orange, my downstairs bathroon is white, black and red and my bathroom is bright green.  Oh and my bedroom will be black when we finally paint it.

I have no problem with color.  And the things you stated wouldnt even bother me a bit.  But once you pain your cabinets lime green.....you are just over the top. IMO
  • The thing is ... it's a GORGEOUS house. I would totally take it and just paint over thier ridic color scheme.

MLS listings acan be so funny. We came across one that showes a pic of a bedroom with a girl slpeeping in her bed, lol.Dh said he would only look at the house if the girl was included :)

  • Wow, that was some imaginative use of color, fo sho. Indifferent

Ha! J and I say the same thing when you can see pets in the photo, "Ooo! Dog included!"

That photo blinded me. Granted, I'm a very blue, grey, brown, black kind of person, but whoa. I guess it would wake you up when you came downstairs for your morning coffee.

  • NO JOKE- My parents painted their bathroom that color. Then they just stopped the project ... didn't get cute towels or bathmats, or re-do the tiles. It's a hot mess and I don't even know what was going through their head at the time.

I guess if it's REALLY well done maybe somebody can pull it off in a room, but they certainly didn't and my parents didn't either. You have to have a real eye for design to make something like that work.

  • Wow, these people really like their color!  On a side note. . .100,000 for a house!  I'll take it even if I have to buy a few hundred dollars worth of paint its almost worth it!
