Recommend Your Composter

Hey All,

Please recommend your composter (bin or tumbler). I am looking for a system that is efficient, not too expensive and not giant. Thanks!

We have this tumbler from Costco.  Although I wish it was a bit bigger, I really like it.  We also have a bin similar to this that I hate.  It fell apart (lost the plastic pieces that held it together) and it impossible to turn.  I'm hoping I can convince DH to let me buy another tumbler from Costco this spring!

Thanks! There are so many options, price points and reviews...it's hard to weed through them all.

I made my own by buying a plastic garbage can with lid and drilling holes in it all over. To turn, I just bungee the lid shut (I pretty much keep it that way anyway except when adding stuff) and roll it on the ground. It's about 3/4 of the way full now so it's getting heavier, but not impossible to turn. It was cheap and I wanted to make sure I'd stick to it before I bought some expensive system. I think it's going to work out fine and will actually be inexpensive enough for me to have 2 or 3 going at any time. My can cost about $10.
