Help! I stink. :(

Yes, a funny title, but I'm having trouble finding a "green" deoderant that works for me.
I was an avid Degree user for years...but after learning about aluminum, wanted to switch to a natural deo.

I first tried KMF Liquid Rock lavendar, and it worked well. But then I saw it had potassium alum in it, a different form of aluminum that I'd rather not take chances with. So...the past few weeks I've been switching between Origins No Offense deoderant which isn't great, and Jason Lavendar which really doesn't seem to hold back the odor. I've tried putting a little baking soda under my arms in addition...but nothing.

Help me find a GOOD deoderant that works! (not Crystal or others that contain potassium alum). I'd prefer a stick, etc. vs. making my own...I'm lazy like that.

Thanks ladies!

  • Someone posted the one I use on here... http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=42221526&ref=sr_list_8&&ga_search_query=clove&ga_search_type=&ga_page=2&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title

I LOVE IT! And I tend to be a stinker. DH is impressed too, although admitted that he doesn't like clove nearly as much as me.

  • I can't help but I look forward to the responses.  I'm switching back and forth between Crystal (semi-stinky me) and the Jason Lavender (very stinky me).  And using the remnants of my last Secret on days I know I'm going to sweat and be around other people.

I need to figure this out before I find a job!  Surprise

  • I think so much has to do with your personal chemistry. I don't even normally sweat much but one deoderant (Jason apricot) made me rank!! I liked Earth Science rosemary mint but I had to reapply it several times a day, which is kinda weird.

I've been using the Gudonya Too Stinky No More (from etsy) for quite a while and nooo stinky! I love this stuff!

Supposedly Adidas makes an aluminum-free deoderant but I don't know how true or EF that is.

Adidas does/did make an aluminum free deodorant.  I loved it!  However, I haven't been able to find it anywhere!!!  I've been using the Jason deodorants.

  • I've been using the Gudonya Too Stinky No More from Etsy for 2 months and love it. I think normal deodorants smell really funny, but I stink when I use scent free. I use the Tahitian Vanilla scent and its awesome! I ordered another scent last night.

I also use the Mayan Gold from Gudonya Too! in addition to the clove one.

That's the one I tried first, and then I ordered Mayan Gold as well, which is spicier and more unisex. I like having multiple scents! I'm not sure what I'll add next.

Oh and these seem to last a LOOOONG time. The stick itself I mean.

  • Hmm...I want to order some Gudonya deodorant now, but considering I spent about $15 in deodorant over the last couple months (including rationalizing the $8 Crystal with "it says it lasts a year!"), I'm reluctant.  I want a bunch of trial sizes of EF deodorants so I can experiment first!

Me too!! I am more likely to buy from a store like WF because I know I can return it if need be.

  • Has anyone tried the Arm & Hammer baking soda deoderant?  I see it at the grocery store, it looks like a baking sode box (that signature goldish orange) and has a big "no aluminum" sticker on it.  Although my Crystal had one of those too.  Tongue Tied I'm semi-stinky on the Crystal.  I'm really not organized enough to buy personal care products online.  I'll run out before ordering more, then buy something at the store anyway.

  • I was having the same issue with the crystal so I have recently switched to Lush's powder deodorant and I love it! I have used the coconut and the greeench and both worked well. They smell good and they keep me dry too. Here's the link: http://www.lushusa.com/shop/products/body/deodorants/.
