This reply is probably coming too late for your weekend, sorry.
If you are staying in Dover, chances are you are just off Rt155 and there are a lot of chain/family style restaurants around the few hotels in that area.
If you want a nicer place to eat, I strongly suggest you go into downtown Portsmouth and walk around. Your hotel desk clerk can give you directions and maybe recommend a place or two. The downtown area is very hip/trendy with lots of nice shops and eateries.
