We took it over a year ago so I'm not sure I remember the exact term but I believe we were rustic contempory. And the description fit us perfectly. I like natural wood, earth tones, vintagy pieces. He likes black, chrome, pops of bright color like reds and oranges.
We really liked some of the suggestions they gave to help us blend the two styles. In fact we were just discussing an art project for our family room that we think will do that.
