Poll: Your green epic fails
Re: Poll: Your green epic fails
Oh, I have the perfect one. I've been wanting to vent about this but no one IRL understands!
So Grocery Store A, according to the Organic Valley website, is supposed to carry their products. I searched high and low, didn't find a single one, contacted Organic Valley about it. Store A still appears on their list, they never responded, and I was getting emails about products that (I thought) I couldn't buy in my area. I got frustrated, removed myself from mailing list. Good riddance.
Monday at Grocery Store B (which is not on the website as one that carries their products). Find Organic Valley half-and-half (but not milk, which I thought was weird) and buy it because it comes as a pint, and my other preferred brand only comes in half pints. Do a little dance in the dairy section. Get home, enter the number code from the carton to see which happy little local farm this came from.
Wisconsin. I just bought half-and-half from frickin' Wisconsin when I could have bought it from the next county over. Fail.
And now every time I add it to my coffee, I get irritated about the whole ordeal. LOL
Also on this trip, I tried to buy 3 half gallons of 2% (the only organic gallons they had were Horizon) and ended up with one carton of my preferred brand's 2%, one carton of another random brand's 2%, and one carton of random brand's 1%. Yuck, and fail again.
Giving up bleach. My SIL was doing 100% green cleansers at home and her daughter got an MRSA staph infection and ended up in the hospital. I don't really believe that eco cleansers caused this, but I won't give up bleach.
Right now I have homemade glass cleaner, homemade all purpose cleaner, and homemade bathroom cleaner with a splash of bleach. It works for me.
a green deodorant. epic fail.
i just can't find anything that works like my trusty old, chemical-laden Degree. i've tried Origins, J/A/S/O/N, crystal, etc. and nothing works! i hate having to use the chemicals, but i can't walk around feeling like a gross smelly man!
make hand-puppets lol
