Anybody at work today?
I guess a lot of people got today off cuz it's dead at my job... The phone hasn't rang more than 5 times.
Ugh... I'd rather be home sleeping and watching the storm clouds.

no school today or tomorrow! I would have preferred to go to school, though...
Redhead my sister is hourly too...
Her office closed today and she had the wonderful option of either taking a paid vacation day or not getting paid at all for her "day off".
There's just something that seems not right about that...
Yea, I actually do the payroll for two hotels and I was wondering if their was a paycode for Hurricane Day.
No such luck. I think it's crappy...and it's not that I can't live without one day (although it still sucks), but there are some people that need that day.

yeah I have one of those bosses that doesnt think storms or hurricanes are a big deal and that the local weather is useless. He doesnt care that employees have to drive in storms.
He was working the morning after Charlie and when Frances hit.
So, yup I am at work. If the weather is too bad to drive in Wed. morning (heavy rain) I will take my time getting to work. He can deal.
Well I work for a media outlet, so we are "open for business"..always. If we actually went into "crisis mode" we would do things like phone banks and news runner instead of my daily accounting work.
I am at home and DH is at work. I still haven't heard if I am going to go in tomorrow or not.
Storms are hard to predict -- so sometimes it comes a day later and the day they call of work is fine, but then next day is bad . . . it all depends.
I am hoping that DH can come home early -- I don't want him driving down I-4 tonight.
Our office is closed today. I could be laying in bed sleeping BUT our South African client decided to send a proposal request that is due Friday for a NYC program. The proposal coordinator has NO internet at her house - it's gone down - so guess who gets to do it?!
Blah.
Does she work with Dr. Homan??
I am also sad that the second day of school was cancelled. I have an awesome class and was hoping to really get moving today! I know it's for safety's sake, but we could've been in school today!
