BB&B Gift Card Design

I was in Bed Bath & Beyond today and I could swear that one of the gift card designs looks like it's two women getting married. It's hard to tell definitively because it's just a shot from behind two people holding hands, one wearing white (a dress) the other ivory (a dress), but it doesn't look like a "bride in white, groom in tux" shot.(Side note: whose idea was it to do a butt shots for a gift card?!)

Anyway, if it is two women on their wedding day, I think it's cool (and perhaps ironic if people buy that one for a straight wedding, as that was the only wedding related gc). If it's not, I'm confused. Anyone else heard about or notice this gift card?

Re: BB&B Gift Card Design

  • I haven't seen that card. If it is two women that would be pretty amazing! I will have to check out my local BB&B and report back.

  • It looks like a man's hand to me, but I do think it's a nice attempt at neutral. I had to go check it out b/c I know our wedding photographer sold one of our holding-hands-from-behind shots to a stock photo place (w/ our permission) and I wonder if I will ever run across it somewhere.

  • Oh and here's the card I'm talking about, I assume it's the same one?

  • Yep, that's the one and now that I look at the hand it does look more masculine that I though while I was looking at it in line. I guess I have to conceed the fact that it's most likely a man in ivory linen pants and not an ivory linen skirt like I had imagine. Ah, shopping day dreams of que.er  equality.
