Stupid Nest
I had an entire post written out and it ate it.
This week started out great and has just ended crappy. I found out yesterday that I can't go to Italy for that conference and I just found out today that I can't take the two online courses I was intending on taking because I'm not a 'cohort'. WTF is a cohort?! I looked it up and it said a group of soldiers/warriors. I could be in a group of warriors if they really wanted me to...especially to take the GD classes and finish on time.
As a result of complete stupidity I can only take one course this summer, which really isn't even of use to me, and I can't graduate early. Sux. I'm pissed.

Izzy - that sucks! So they're saying they wont reimburse you for the courses in the summer?
I woke up with a migraine this morning. Thankfully I'm working from home. I'm set up in my basement so I can get work done - it's freezing down here!
I wish I was working from home.
My plane yesterday left about an hour late, hit rough air most of the way home and then when we finally landed we got fifty feet from the gate when we had to stop. Why? There wasn't a ground crew to flag us in. So I sat on a plane fifty feet from the gate for about half an hour waiting for a gate crew. Since the plane was super full all of the over head luggage holders were full so I had to check mine. So I got to wait some more for my luggage to come out.
I eventually got home around 10 pm. I'm super tired this morning and I have zero desire to do any work.
Also I was in Georgia and it rained there both days. Now it's raining here.
Izzy, that sucks. Why no Italy?
I was in a cohort in grad school. It's basically a group that starts and ends at the same time. Sometimes they just get priority over others and they'll open the class up after the cohort has all signed in. Sometimes the classes are closed to just that group to increase cooperation and bonding with the cohort.
It's not that they wouldn't pay for the class...I wasn't eligible to take it according to PSU because I wasn't an exclusively online student.
No Italy because the project I was going to use for my thesis isn't funded and I have other funded work to do. I'm hoping maybe France next year will be an option. We'll see.
