Hi, i'm new too

Hi everyone, i am new too, i guess today is a good day for introduction on this board. My name is Sarah, i got married to my high school sweetheart on May 10th and 9 days later we moved from northeastern Pennsylvania to Avon, IN. One question i have for everyone is what do you think the best grocery store is? In PA i had Wegman's which i cannot put into words how much i miss lol but i have not found anything remotely close out here, any suggestions?

Re: Hi, i'm new too

  • Hello and welcome!  I'm not really sure where all the chains are here in Indiana but my favorite is Kroger.  I don't have one in Muncie but I did in Bloomington.  We have a Marsh but its not my favorite.  At the moment we are doing our grocery shopping at the Super Walmart.
  • Welcome!

We shop at Kroger but I prefer O'Malias but they re a little more pricey.. .

  • I'm not sure what's out in Avon. I usually think Kroger and Marsh are about the same, but we usually shop at the O'malia's/Marsh Fresh Market downtown, which we love.

  • I recently moved here too. I live in Brownsburg and the cheapest place we can find is Wal-Mart for food. The Super Target in Avon is good too. The nicest grocery store we have found is the Marsh in Traders Point but it is almost double the price of Wal Mart.
  • Welcome!! I'm a big fan of Kroger, myself. Kroger is really starting to target their shoppers with the coupons a lot better.  Super Target is nice when I just don't want to be hassled with people because they tend to be more empty in the grocery aisles.  I'm not a fan of Walmart for meats or produce, but the boxed/canned stuff, I'll buy whenever I'm there.
