Pole dancing?

Good morning! I am new to this website. I was wondering if any of yall have poles in your house for exercise/entertainment? What kind do you have? Does your husband love it? I think it sounds like a fun idea!

  • We have a treadmill for exercise instead.

  • I don't, but I know a few people that used to frequent on this board did and liked it.
  • I don't at this point. One day I'd like to. I'm sure my husband would love it!
  • I don't, but I'm really interested in taking classes--if I really liked it I might end up getting one for home. DH is obviously all for this, it's just a matter of finding the time for the classes. He's in grad school/working, and we have a 1 year old...so it might be a few years before I get around to it!

On another note...did you see the Marriage Ref about this? The "Excercise Pole"? Freakin hilarious!

    LOL

  • I actually have one BUT it does not fit with our celing height so I never was able to install it :( My sister and I took lessons a few years ago and had a blast. It is so much fun and is a great workout especially for the arms, legs and core. I would absolutely reccomend taking lessons-its so great to feel sexy, have fun and get a workout it!
  • I have never tried it.  Think it would be lots of fun.  Thinking about getting my girls together to try a class sometime.  If I can actually do it maybe Ill invest in a poll.  But I heard it takes a lot of upper body strength, which I don't have

  • Thanks for the input everyone! I think that is a good idea - take a class before buying a pole, lol :)
  • At my youngest sister's bachelorette party, my older sister bought one for the party and then for her personal use. We had so much fun trying it out. I found out that it's not my calling. She bought it from Spencer's in the mall for under $100 (it may have been $99 or something like that). Definitely try it out at a class. I know this is pretty late to reply, but I lurk on and off. But having a pole dancing lesson at her bachelorette party was a huge success!
