Since the poll below seems to get good responses, how about another one? We need to get this board moving!
What is your favorite green or kitchen gadget or product? Mine is my Tofu XPress. Yes it's $40 but it is totally worth it. Gets all the water out of a block of tofu, no more perilously perched cans and plates. We then add marinade and put on the marinating lid, and you get perfect, chewy tofu every time. I PPH this thing.
I also love my ever-growing collection of adorable organic cotton T-shirts from Green Label Organic. It's a local company to me (about 4 hours), the T-shirts are so soft and amazing quality. Yes they're pricey but adorable! Here's some of the designs I have (I have lots...)
Re: Poll: Your favorite green/kitchen gadgets/products
How is the sizing on men's shirts? I can't wear t-shirts much, but my dad lives in them and he could use some new ones... His b'day is coming up!
My favorite green kitchen gadgets are:
Parsley Plus!!! LOVE IT. Smells so good, I clean too much now ;-)
My homemade dishwasher detergent in the beautiful glass jar.
I love my garlic press but don't think that is a "green" product.I love my bamboo cutting board too!
Speaking of not green products. I blogged about this because it blew my mind.
OMG I saw the EZ cracker commercial on TV the other night, and while I can see why some people will buy it, I kept thinking--where would you even store that? I have a hard enough time categorizing what I already have (nothing that out there) but WHAT?!?!?
I love watching the people crack the eggs... who cracks eggs with spoons???? I remember my grandma being able to crack two eggs against each other. She was awesome. BTW, if you watch the ad, they do a weird wrist flick so I am guessing it is not easy to use, and probably crushes your eggs... I almost want one just to point out all the flaws ;-)
I love love love my countertop compost jar from the import store.
I love mine too! I also love my homemade laundry soap... so much so that I got my sister who is a mother of 4 kids (lots of laundry) using it.
Miles (6 year old Maine C00n mix), Boots (5 year old Lab mix), Darla (4 year old GSD/Collie mix), Frankie (1.5 year old DSH mix), Peanut (15 months old - 09/11), and Bean (arriving Feb 2013).
SuperGreen- I am loving those t-shirts. Awesome.
Dork-FIsh- MInd sharing your recipe for homemade laundry soap? After spending the last 6 months focused on changing our food I am now ready to tackle cleaning products and beauty products.
