Friday Confessions + Weekend Plans!
Who has something to share?? Spill it!
Confession: I want to trade in my beloved blackberry (that I've only had for a year) for an iphone JUST for Words With Friends. And this is despite the fact that I've attempted to text on an iPhone once or twice and hated it.
Plans: Headed to see my mom's side of the family this weekend.
Confession #2: I'd rather stay in town. I need an attitude adjustment about my pending vacay!
Re: Friday Confessions + Weekend Plans!
I want to trade in my itouch for the iphone just so I dont have to carry the itouch and my phone all the time.
I am going to ft worth to visit family and to do a St Patty's day 5k.
Confession #1: the dreaded inlaws are coming to town tomorrow (allegedly) and I'm trying to think of as many things as possible to include other people this weekend so they can't be themselves and I don't have socialize with them too much (all without dh catching on b/c he still wants me to try)
Confession #2: I hate that some of our friends (certain ones) are friends with each other because I like to limit my time spent with one couple but not the other, but the couple I love keeps inviting the other one, hence screwing up my time limiting. That make sense?
Plans: attempting to maintain my sanity until I can go back to work Monday
My Bio (wedding pics added 7/6)
My 101
Confession: I have a race tomorrow, and am getting over a sinus infection.. I saw the roster today and now have half the mind to milk my sinus stuff to get out of it. :P
Weekend Plans: That race. I'll probably end up going it. I also really want to go and check out some free parties at SXSW!
Confession: I really hurt my back the other day so DH has had to do a lot more around the house. My back still hurts but not a bad but I haven't let him know so he won't stop waiting on me.
Plans: Shopping, lounging by the pool and a bbq. Oh and watching the Blackhawks on Sunday's NBC game of the week.
I have been procrastinating doing a work thing all week and today is my drop-dead due date. I would like to leave early but now I can't bc I didn't get my sh# done. Bummer.
Sister's birthday BBQ tonight. Maybe rodeo tomorrow night? DH is working a 48-hr shift so there's no telling how he'll feel tomorrow and what kind of mood he'll be in.
confession: i just took a 2 hour lunch and i came to work 45 minutes late. oh and i'll probably leave a half hour early. ummm michael scott work day?
weekend plans: hangin with the niece tonight, blogging workshop tomorrow, clean house/errands sunday
My husband & I went to a luncheon today that had like five courses, and I shamelessly ate pretty much every bite. Elastic waist maternity pants can have their up-side.
Anyway, it was for the Culinary Arts program at Bowie High, and they did such a fantastic job. I found the meal better than the one I had at Aquarelle!
For weekend plans: Later this afternoon SIL & MIL are coming in because SIL is hosting our shower here tomorrow! I still have a lot to do to prep though. I need to make a lasagna for tonight, but that's the last thing I want to do after eating that mammoth lunch!
Guava, you should totally switch phones. We just have the iPod Touch and I used to hate "typing" on the touch screen too, but you really do get used to it. Words w/ Friends is way too addicting!
You could always keep your Blackberry and just get the 8GB Touch for all the apps.
Confession: I had 2 massive helpings of some banana pudding at work that one of the gals made.
Weekend Plans: I have to work tomorrow. Major suck. Other than that, no plans. I just want to relax at home! Next weekend we'll have family visiting!
Our Family Blog
One of my submissions got featured on Lamebook, and I am probably a little more excited than I should be.
This weekend my brother will be visiting! He's with the Madison Scouts Drum Corp. and in Indiana so he figured he'd hop over to Ohio for a few days. After he leaves I'm coming down to AUSTIN! YAY!
My blog about starting over, dating, life and all of its awkward moments.
I should be the poster child for nutritional eating today - I've had coffee, some cadbury mini eggs (with the coffee), some almonds, and I just had some frozen yogurt.
But just wait until it's Pinkberry. Hee hee.
Psh, that's nothin'.
And Faon- that meal makes me so excited! DSS digned up for Nutrition next year- it's the pre-req for Culinary Arts at Bowie. I want him to be able to cook like that!
My confession is that I bought some beautiful fabric to attempt to make a curtain (yes, ONE curtain, because I want to make sure I can do it before I buy fabric for all of the other ten I need to make) and now that I have it, I am afraid to start. Hello, it's just sewing straight lines! How hard can it be?
I have nothing else to confess. I've been a little saint.
Confession: I just ate two cupcakes. One lemon and one strawberry and enjoyed every second of it! Funny....as I normally don't like cake or cupcakes!
Tonight - Cajun Night at the Elk's Lodge. So excited! We bought two tables (have 2 extra tickets if anyone wants to head to NB) and one of them is under my bakery name! YAY! I feel like Steve Martin in The Jerk! I am somebody!
Tomorrow - I am jogging a 5K! First one and I am so excited yet nervous. I know....it isn't that far but until a few weeks ago, I couldn't jog a quarter of a mile without almost stroking out!
Tomorrow night - my nieces will be in town! I can't wait!
Sunday - Church and then lunch and shopping in Gruene plus my favorite sister in law will be coming into town!!!
My friend is a chef now because of that program at Bowie! And DH's cousin teaches there and says the students love it.
Confession: I would like to strangle DH and run away from home. Him being locked in a house after having heart surgery is driving me bonkers!
This weekend, nothing still since DH is still recovering but my 15 and 11 year old brother are coming to spend their spring break here with us. That shouldn't be exciting, but I LOVE having them come stay with me. :-)

This makes me very excited! Thanks for recognizing Nutrition as a pre-req. I teach Nutrition and Food Science which are both pre-reqs (in a different district) but way too often get dismissed as "electives that don't count." We teach so much that's important for people to know. Anyway, just wanted to say this really made me feel good. One of the ladies at our table has a son in the nutrition class and it sounded very interesting and worthwhile. She was telling about how he throws out all the junk in their pantry. Hee Hee. Yes, apparently the culinary program is very hard to get into--they don't take many kids and you need recs and stuff, but he has a spot waiting for next year. (Maybe he'll be in it with your SS, FCB!) I was blown away by their talent. From the flavors to the garnishes, and their overall professionalism, they got everything spot on.
