House blog.
Hello everyone. As some of you know, we finally, after over a year of looking, bought a house. This is the blog. The pics do not do the place justice as to how crappy looking it is/was. A bit of background might be nice. The house is a diamond in the rough, encased in dirt and covered in dust. I am so proud of how much we have done so far. The house is 240 years old and VERY VERY VERY neglected. The couple that owned it got a divorce after 45 years together. From what we can ascertain, he was abusive and spent all the money at the tracks. The wife seems to have had an addiction to duct tape (her own confession, stated that was all she could afford). All I know is that everything was held together with duct tape. LOL The whole process to get this house was painful. I wont bore you with too many details but those involved, you have the patience of saints. We saw the potential and felt the power of the house when we walked in. I wish you all could have seen the real thing because the pics do it no justice at all. There are 6 albums so you have to view all on the photos section. Only the before pictures are up right now but i will have progress pics in a couple days. Thanks to everyone for all the support you have given us.

Hey Kim, Congrats on the house, so glad it finally happened for you guys! Hope the renovations go well! It sounds like you have a dedicated crew there b/w your DH and the twins! And the LR doesn't look too bad in the pics! So the room you call BR2 will that be emcompassed by the new master? Will the boys sleep upstairs? That is one crazy color in the upstairs!
Have fun stripping all that wall paper!!! I totally can feel your pain!!
