**alison** - Aruba question
Hi! How are you? I know you got married in Aruba and DH and I are considering taking a babymoon there. I've stayed at the Occidental, but would like to try somewhere new. I was wondering if you have any suggestions - we'd like to stick with all-inclusive or at least somewhere that has plenty of restaurants on site. Thanks!
Re: **alison** - Aruba question
Aruba is very small, so even if you didn't go AI, it's very easy to get around to nearby restaurants.
What type of hotel are you looking for? I'm assuming you would probably prefer a lower key type hotel seeing as it's a baby moon?? The high-rise hotel area where the occidental is located is very busy, lots of action, & normally more crowded.
My first recommendation would be The Bucuti Beach Resort. It's such a nice quiet hotel. It's on an amazing beach too!! They are not AI, but breakfast is included (I'm not sure if this is a special package or if it's automatic when you book a room-might want to check into that). They've got the Pirate's Nest restaurant on site & there are also 4 other restaurants within walking distance-The turtle's next next door at the Costa Linda, Pizza Bob's & an Italian place located right out front door of the Bucuti hotel, The French Steakhouse next door at the Manchebo. Plus Dunkin Donuts is right out front too and the casino! The Pirate's Nest also does "Romantic Dining"-you get a personal table on the beach and can watch the sunset. Soooo great!
Some other "must go to" restaurants are Madame Janette's and El Gaucho-but you will need to take a taxi. Definitely worth it though!
Another option is the Divi Aruba All-Inclusive-I'm not sure how many restaurants they have though and how good they are (I've never been to any in all the times I've been to Aruba). OR you could even look into getting a timeshare at the Costa Linda Beach Resort like we normally do.
and my last suggestion would be to look into the Rennaisance Resort. It is located in downtown Oranjestad with it's own private island (this is the island DH & I got married on), which is where it's beach is located. Because it is downtown there are a TON of restaurants & shops within walking distance!
Let me know if you have more questions!! I'd be happy to help!!
P.S. Can I come!?
