Mom's 60th Birthday
My dad asked me to plan something for my mom's 60th birthday next month. She definitely does not want a party of any kind. With a party being out of the picture my options are limited so I'm going with dinner at a nice resturant with my immediate family, but I feel like we should be doing something more. Any ideas on what I can do to make the dinner a bit more special? I'm stuck.....

For my mom's 60th we rented a room for ourselves, The ground were lovely so we hired a photog to come out and take pics of everyone. It was lovely not to have to worry about anything and for mom to have special pics of the day.
email or send letters to whoever you would have invited to her party asking for their favorite story or memory of her or something, compile them into a little scrapbook or something. make sure to make the print large so she can read it if her eyesight isnt the best anymore.
could also be done in a home video type thing if you can tape everyone, make it into a dvd to play at home after dinner.
