Please Post Green Cleaning/Hygiene Recipes Here
You would think I could do a quick search on this board for these things. You would be wrong. A search for the word "recipe" returned one post. Searches for laundry and the like weren't much better.
Please post your green cleaners, soaps, detergents, and hygiene items here so we can have them all in one place. If you make it yourself, I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks!

Re: Please Post Green Cleaning/Hygiene Recipes Here
The search function is doing pretty well to provide you with any results! I don't have any recipes for anything... if it's more than two ingredients, i'll probably mess it up... that said, we should compile it all and have the nest moderator put a sticky so when people ask common questions we can say "Good question. Check the sticky."
OCM - About 25% Castor Oil and 75% EVOO. Massage into skin before bed, steam with hot water washcloth, rinse. In the morning rinse with water only.
Drain Cleaner - Pour baking soda down drain (maybe 1/3 cup). Pour vinegar down drain (about the same). After a few minutes, pour a cup or two of hot water down drain. If that failes, use zip-it drain cleaner (can be cleaned and reused, despite what packaging says).
Cleaning - half vinegar, half water used alone or with baking soda, if scrubbing is needed.
This one is a tip, and not a recipe, but i always do it: put an old beach towel or a couple smaller towels in your dryer with wet laundry. It disperses the moisture and everything dries faster.

I am looking for some hygiene recipes!
There are plenty of cleaning recipes on my blog too....
<a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y126/wayfastwhitegirl/?action=view
Some in my blog (click on "Recipes" once you get there). My main ones are:
Deodorant:
1/4 cup of Baking Soda, 1/4 cup of Corn Starch, 4 tablespoons of Coconut Oil (give or take 1 depending on preference), and a few drops of EOs.
Body Wash:
1 Part Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap, 1 Part JoJoBa Oil, 8 Parts Water
Sugar Scrub:
1 Part JoJoBa Oil, 1 Part Coconut Oil, Add Organic Raw Sugar until it's "sludgy", EOs. It will harden, so don't add too much!
Bath Salts:
1 Cup Sea Salts or Epsom Salts (Epsom is easier to find, Sea works better!), 1/4 Cup Baking Soda, EOs, Natural Colorants (Paprika is my favorite)
